Sunday 9:30 a.m. C.E. Adult Opportunities
The first semester of the 2010-11 year will provide 3 Christian Education (C.E.)
classes for adults: 1) The Young Adult Class – “A Study in James: Putting Faith to
Work," will be led by Barbara & Boyd Myers and Glen & Sue Stuart. It will meet in
Lowry Hall; 2) Judson Bible Journeys: “The Inescapable God,” led by Diane Heald,
will meet in the classroom behind the Pastor's study; 3) “Community Values in
Early Israel,” led by Dave Ludeker and based on Exodus, Leviticus, and Deuter-onomy, will meet in the 2nd floor classroom behind the sanctuary. Plan to attend!
NEW SMALL GROUP(S) FORMING THIS FALL!
Are you interested in a Bible Study/Fellowship group that will meet every other Friday evening? If so, please indicate your interest on the sign-up sheet on the information table in Lowry Hall. Chancel Choir Rehearsals Begin September 9 at 7 p.m.
If you enjoy singing, come join the choir for practices each Thursday at 7 p.m. We work hard and have a wonderful time together.
Blue Grass Gospel - Saturday, September 11 – 7 p.m.
First Baptist Church of St. Peters invites us to a concert by the Keystone Mountain Way singers. The church building is located at 2860 St. Peters Road, next to historic St. Peters Village. Light refreshments. No charge; donations accepted.

- Using Exodus, Leviticus and Deuteronomy: “Community Values in Early Israel”
September 12 at 9:30 a.m. Children & Youth Opportunities
We begin our new Christian Education year with the theme GET JOY based on John 15:11 – These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. There will be age-appropriate classes for children and youth each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. The year will begin with a remodeled nursery and a new toddler room (for 2 and 3 year olds) as well as refreshed children’s class-rooms. The youth class will continue to meet on the 2nd floor of the church house
Youth Group
Sept. 12: Youth Group (YG) kick-off picnic at the Stuarts’ home. Meet in the church parking lot at 5 p.m. We'll return by 8 p.m.
Church Work Day – Saturday, September 18 – beginning at 9 a.m. Our church building needs some repairs, painting and clean-up. On September 18, the Trustees have scheduled a Church Work Day when members can help. Come with willing hands to improve the appearance and safety of our building. If you can give just a limited time, that's okay. There's something for everyone to do – and lunch will be provided. Please sign up at the Information Table in Lowry Hall.
